Because some of these
products have a very short shelf-life, our internal organization
is tailored to react to market announcements and events, and
translate quickly a large quantity of information. Typical turnover
rate would be 1,500 words within the next 2-3 hours.
Longer shelf-life reports
present other challenges. As the analyst delves into the technologies
used or developed by the business under review, we have to query
multiple sources of information in order to achieve technical accuracy.
And even longer term research notes are subject to deadlines: printing
schedules, black-out periods, road shows, etc.
Bond research is a very different
specialty from equity research, and not all financial translators are
knowledgeable in this area. With years of experience
in translating weekly bond reviews, we have developed a bond market
expertise our client banks feel very comfortable with. Typical
bond market weekly reviews can be turned over with 48 hours.
Deadlines and constraints
are typically established at the beginning of a relationship with a
client, and evolve over time.
